AMDもここ1年、Intelに対してある程度の存在感を示すことができ、シェアもまずまず確保した。ここからさらにステップアップするためにも、ATIは手に入れたい会社だったのだろう。
ATIを飲み込んだAMDが今後、どのような製品を出してくるのか、なかなか興味深い。
そしてATIのGPUをAMDがどこまで活用してくるのか。サーバ用およびハイエンドゲーム用のCPUとして一定の足場を確保したAMDがさらにシェアを拡大するために打ち出す次の一手は。
