The IBD for Exchange option is available on the DS4800, DS4500, DS4400, and DS4300 midrange disk systems. This option is designed to provide an integrated backup and recovery solution using DS4000 FlashCopy® and VolumeCopy services, in conjunction with Microsoft's Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) framework working with Exchange 2003. The IBD for Exchange option provides an intuitive GUI and wizards, to help generate policy-based backup jobs that can build high-availability solutions to help protect Microsoft Exchange 2003 databases on DS4000 disk systems.
